Public art plays an important role in community building and economic development. Gain insight and exchange ideas about public art as catalyst for community building, the responsibilities of the artist and the community, and more. Artists, scholars, attorneys, architects, and community planners from across the country will present and discuss. Presentations will be short, TED-style talks to instigate lively panel discussions. This event is free and open to the public. Presented by the Grant Wood Art Colony and the Office of Outreach and Engagement.
