The Grant Wood Art Colony is helping promote a free, VIP reception and test screening of a new documentary, "LIVING IN TWO WORLDS – The Art & Life of Grant Wood." The documentary explores the life of the artist who created the most famous image in American art. A man who remains a stranger to most. He trained in France, chose to make his life in eastern Iowa, and drew admirers in Hollywood and beyond. But behind the celebrated canvases was a life lived in two worlds.
A Q&A will follow with noted scholars featured in the documentary. Writer-Director Chip Duncan and producers Bob Huck and Stevie Ballard will be in attendance to hear your comments and criticisms on a film slated for release in 2027.Audience input will be important as the producing team enters post-production for this important new documentary featuring one of Iowa’s greatest artists.
