Elizabeth Claire Rose
Elizabeth Claire Rose grew up exploring natural areas of the midwestern United States which cultivated her interests in ecology, biogeography, and the ecological importance of varied landscapes. Rose earned her MFA in Printmaking from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and holds a BA in Fine Art with a minor in Wilderness Studies from the University of Montana, Missoula. Rose has been a resident at Terra Nova National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, the Mark Rothko Center in Daugavpils, Latvia, and Isle Royale National Park, MI among others. She is an alumna of Fulbright Poland, where she had a research grant in Printmaking. This summer, Rose will be an artist resident at Beaver Island, Lake Michigan, where she will create work about native plant communities. Rose currently resides in West Michigan, where she maintains her own small print shop.
