The Grant Wood Art Colony welcomes Davidy Storey, Visiting Artist in Painting & Drawing.

David Storey, born in Madison, WI in 1948 is an artist who lives and works in New York City. He received both a BA and an MFA from the University of California at Davis, graduating in 1972. Storey has exhibited with Jay Gorney Modern Art in the mid 1980's and subsequently with Hirschl and Adler Modern in New York. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in the United States and abroad. His work is represented in many private, corporate and public collections including the Museum of Modern Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Art.

Storey has received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship Grant, residency fellowships at Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony and a Guggenheim Fellowship in Painting. He is currently finishing a project of 14 mosaic murals for a New York city subway station to be installed in early 2019. There will be a simultaneous exhibition of the drawings and paintings for this project at C.G. Boerner Gallery in New York
