Neal Rock received and an Honours BFA from the University of Gloucestershire (Cheltenham, UK), an MFA from Central St. Martins School of Art & Design (London), and a PhD in Painting (By-Practice) from the Royal College of Art (London). Group exhibitions include Expander at The Royal Academy of Arts (London); Extreme Abstraction at the Albright Knox Art Gallery (Buffalo NY); Landscape Confection curated by Helen Molesworth at the Wexner Centre for the Arts (Columbus, OH), Contemporary Art Museum (Houston), and Orange County Museum of Art; and Can Buildings Curate at the Storefront for Art & Architecture (NYC). Solo exhibitions include FA Projects (London), Henry Urbach Architecture (NYC), Grand Arts (Kansas City, MO), The New Art Gallery (Walsall, UK), and the Mihai Nicodim Gallery (Los Angeles). His work has been presented at the Armory Show NYC, Art Basel Miami, and Art Cologne. In 2007, his work was nominated for the Jerwood Contemporary Painters (UK), and the 2014 John Moores Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery (Liverpool, UK). Rock was most recently in residence at Yaddo (Saratoga Springs, NY).
